The Lemon Tree Writers are an enthusiastic group of poets, storywriters, novelists and playwrights mainly based in Aberdeen and surrounding areas; though their origins are from far and wide. They meet fortnightly to discuss their writing and share their work. New members, be they beginners or published, are made very welcome.
Meetings normally take place at the Belmont Filmhouse, 49 Belmont Street, Aberdeen AB10 1JS on alternate Saturdays from 11am to 1pm – see dates below.
NB In the time of Coronavirus, meetings have continued online using Skype, same times, same dates, same format.

Non-members may attend their first meeting for free and then, on each subsequent visit, pay the £1.50 day rate + a £2 levy.
NB The day rate is suspended while we meet virtually on Skype.
In normal times, anyone interested in joining Lemon Tree Writers is welcome to come along to one of our meetings at the Belmont. You will find us a friendly, diverse group, young and not so young, all with a passion for writing. In discussion of our writing, critique is offered in a friendly and constructive way; our aim is always to support each other.
